JOB DE ION:

Be a part of MSIT Engineering Community & Online (ECO) Business Intelligence team to transform CSS to a data driven organization! &nbsp In this role, you’ll build and implement a BI platform that delivers business insight to the CSS business. &nbsp You’ll do this by:

Working with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

&nbsp Modeling business processes resulting in logical/physical designs.

&nbsp Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources to dimensional models.

&nbsp Delivering star schemas and OLAP cubes that support self service analytics.

&nbsp Supporting the development of an information architecture that delivers a common understanding of the business to disparate groups.

&nbsp Supporting ad-hoc data/queries from our reporting environment.

These activities improve our customer experience by having CSS better understand how our customers use our products and services while reducing our operational costs. &nbsp We do this by delivering an analytics platform that’s leveraged by data and business analysts throughout CSS. &nbsp

Our ideal candidate will:

&nbsp Have a passion for the business intelligence space.

&nbsp Have implemented past business intelligence solutions.

&nbsp Be knowledgeable on the Microsoft BI technical stack (SQL Server, OLAP, SSIS, PPS, etc.).

&nbsp Be customer/delivery focused.

&nbsp Have an understanding of the customer support business.

This position works closely with:

&nbsp Our Product Management team who owns our development priorities.

&nbsp The broader CSS business community who have ongoing thirst for data and knowledge.

&nbsp Operations to consistently push out changes to our environment (i.e. we are constantly releasing).

Qualification and Skills

&nbsp Past experience in implementing BI/Data Warehousing solutions.

&nbsp DBA skills in SQL Server 2008/SQL Server 2008 R2/SQL Server 2012 or other data engine

&nbsp Passion for data and analytics.

&nbsp Strong written and oral skills.

&nbsp Bachelors/Masters in engineering or computer science

Big data or HDInsight experience is a big plus

C# or Java skills is a plus
